About the event
EGCF is hosting its annual forum meeting on March 26, 2012 during the European Grid Infrastructure Community Forum (EGI-CF).
EGCF 2012 gives users and developers the opportunity to learn from Globus team experts about current and future plans for the Globus software stack. It also provides a forum
for hearing from other users how Globus has helped scientists leverage
the resources of the European distributed computing infrastructures
(DCIs) for their research. The meeting is also a venue for providing important feedback to Globus team leaders — your voice will be heard not only within the European community, but also by the Globus team in the United States.
Participation is free of charge.

About EGCF
The European Globus Community Forum (EGCF) is the organisational body of the Globus community
in Europe. Its goal is to boost an integrated approach to collaboration
on Globus development and to provide an organisational platform to foster cooperation within Europe and beyond.
Its members are users, administrators, and developers, who are applying
the Globus Toolkit as their middleware or are interested in doing so.
EGCF informs the community about developments in the wider context of
Globus software and services, arranges and coordinates meetings and
workshops, and connects projects and communities within Europe and beyond for exchanging knowledge and sharing experience with Globus software.
Overall, the EGCF helps foster collaboration and ensures a representative position of the European Globus community in US-based bodies including the Globus core development teams.
The EGCF is sponsored by the Initiative for Globus in Europe (IGE).
